SAINT LOUIS, MO (October 9, 2017) - ej4, a leading provider of eLearning and training solutions, has launched Learning Tracks to it’s award-winning Thinkzoom LMS. The competency-based learning experience was constructed around 36 of the Lominger Competencies that align with ej4’s training content. This feature is part of a wider launch of new features to its LMS, Thinkzoom. The design improvements were implemented to make it easier for users to access content, and to simplify the overall experience for administrators. The changes aim to refine and segment features from the previous layout.
“When determining which competencies we wanted to map our content to, we chose Lominger based on the repetitive requests we have received from our current clients,” says Kathy Irish, Director of Operations. “Competencies are a great way to measure the success of your overall talent in the organization, in fact research proves that companies that manage to competencies are 40% more productive than average.”
This latest addition to the Thinkzoom LMS provides an easier process for managers and learners to find relevant courses. Since ej4 offers a wide variety of training topics that impact the entire organization it is important that the content is relevant for the individual learner.
The Learning Tracks feature offers predefined and mapped out courses based on a single competency. Competencies are abilities, behaviors, knowledge, and skills that impact the success of employees and organizations. Learners can enroll themselves in Learning Tracks and do not have to rely on administrators to define the courses within the Learning Track. This self-directed feature allows learners to continue their own professional development outside of their required learning.
According to CEO Ryan Eudy, “Mapping competencies is nothing new to ej4 as we’ve been doing it for our clients through a consultative approach since 2004. With the recent research that 89% of best in class companies implemented core competencies across their business we’ve added learning “tracks” to help all of our clients be as successful as possible.”
Also released were changes to the dashboard which include streamlined administrative functions, reorganized reporting features, and an improved dashboard appearance. Learners can expect a more visually appealing dashboard that is easier to navigate and more engaging.
- “Suggested for You” and “Highlighted Course” are new features designed to show learners additional courses they may find interesting based on their previous usage patterns.
- “Favorites” and “Recommendations” have been moved. They have also been redesigned to display the course title images, and to be more visually appealing.
- 4tify Your LearningTM (ej4’s training reinforcement tool) has also been redesigned and moved to a more prominent position on the dashboard.
These most recent changes to Thinkzoom come following several noteworthy improvements to the already robust LMS this year as ej4 continues to revolutionize the eLearning industry.
